Cheapside Business Alliance are excited to be bringing you a free 2-day Mental Health First Aid Course, that is internationally recognised and qualifies attendees as certified Mental Health First Aiders.
It comprises a 4-part modular course, giving delegates the skills to spot the signs of low mental health and support individuals in the workplace. Topics include anxiety, panic attacks, depression, suicide, substance misuse, psychosis, self-harm, and eating disorders.
Learning outcomes include:
- An in-depth understanding of mental health, common mental illnesses and disorders
- Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
- A complete understanding of the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan (ALGEE) to support someone experiencing poor mental health
- Enhanced interpersonal and active listening skills
- Knowledge to help someone recover their health by signposting and guiding them to further support

Please note that attendance on both Thursday 9th & Friday 10th October 9:00am-5:00pm is required to become a certified Mental Health First Aider. If you are unable to attend both days, or if you need to cancel, please give us plenty of notice so we can offer it to our waiting list.
