Supporting a Better Environment

Under this key aim, we will build on the success and experience of the last 10 years and focus on improvements to the public realm, placemaking, cleansing and greening, all with a view to create a more sustainable, enjoyable public experience for all.

Our spotlight programmes that we will deliver over 2025-2030 are to: 

  • Develop of a clear public realm vision & strategy to enhance user experience and provide a holistic vision for the area. 
  • Enrich and curate public realm areas through temporary and seasonal events and installations. 
  • Continue our Ambassador programme to report on on-street environmental & cleansing issues, and carry out a cleansing review.
  • Support climate action behaviour change projects and knowledge sharing opportunities. 
  • Support communication of public consultations, training, and data for businesses to support their operations. 
  • Promote and host active travel provisions and schemes.
