If Stone Could Speak Event Programme

From the Thames to Eternity: If Stone Could Speak Event Programme

From the Thames to Eternity is a cultural placemaking project in the City of London that reimagines historic granite stones from the 19th-century River Thames wall at Victoria Embankment as new public seating near St Paul’s Cathedral.

If Stone Could Speak is a complementary programme of free expert-led workshops, walks, and tours, exploring the cultural and historical value of stone, while encouraging discussion about reuse, longevity, and heritage, and the role natural stone can play in creating a more sustainable built environment.

Join hands-on artisan crafts including weaving, stone rubbing and more at the If Stone Could Speak pavilion.

Through stone we’ll tell the story of our place, our identity and our belonging in the City.

A pre-event tour of If Stone Could Speak will also be starting outside Temple Bar at 4.30pm.
