We are seeking an exceptional and committed Business Improvement District (BID) Director to lead and grow two established BIDs in the Central London.

Our work is guided by a 5-year Business Plan and focuses on placemaking, sustainability, and operational excellence.
As BID Director, you will set strategic direction, drive impactful projects, and lead a talented team in delivering transformative programmes that enhance Aldgate and Cheapside. Acting as the principal representative of the BIDs, you will influence policy, champion business interests, and forge strategic partnerships with businesses, local authorities, and key stakeholders in the community to create exceptional places to work, visit, and invest.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership, setting a bold implementation plans for the future of the BIDs and ensuring delivery of Business Plans with maximum impact for levy-paying businesses.
- Oversee governance, compliance, and legislative requirements, reporting directly to the BID Boards and shaping long-term regeneration and placemaking strategies.
- Lead high-profile events, public realm enhancements, and safety initiatives, ensuring the districts remain dynamic, attractive, and vibrant.
- Inspire and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Maintain strong financial oversight, ensuring robust budget management.
- Act as principal ambassador for both BIDs individually, building influential and long lasting relationships with businesses, community groups, local government, and city stakeholders.
- Advocate on behalf of businesses to shape local and regional policy, positioning the BIDs as thought leaders within London’s business ecosystem.
About You
- Proven senior leadership experience within BIDs, placemaking, regeneration, economic development, or a related multi-agency partnership.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing budgets, and delivering multi-pronged projects.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience navigating high-level public and private sector environments.
- Strategic thinker with creativity, resilience, and the ability to lead change and foster continuous improvement.
- Deep understanding of local authority governance, urban regeneration, and business community needs.
