Cheapside Business Alliance (CBA) offers UK’s pioneering learning hub free to local business community
Cheapside Business Alliance (CBA) has today announced the launch of their new e-learning solution. The innovative ‘Cheapside e-learning hub’ offers free unlimited access to up to 200 live courses at any given time and is available to all businesses within the CBA BID boundary. The e-learning solution features topics and courses that help local employees learn new skills, enhance their career progression, and ultimately build a more robust, future-proof workforce in Cheapside.
Zoe Barwick, Director of CBA said: “Employee retention and talent management is one of CBA’s top priorities for our businesses. The new training platform will be a fantastic resource for our business community. Employees of our levy payers can choose from a range of courses including Retail Management, Customer Service, Office 365, Project Management and much more. With the diverse range of businesses in our district, this is a great way for us to address learning needs of retailers, hospitality venues, professional services, and everything in between”.
The courses are uniquely all interactive webinars, allowing local employees to learn on a flexible basis, accessing webinars from their home or office. As well as live interactive sessions, many courses are available on-demand, meaning employees have further flexibility on when and where they learn. On finishing a course, employees can download a Completion of Learning Certificate, helping staff to evidence their personal and professional development.
CBA’s learning solution is amongst the first of its kind around the UK and is launched through SEEDL, a world pioneering ‘Virtual Live Learning Subscription Service’. Joanna Nash, SEEDL’s Chief Learning Officer said, “SEEDL has grown rapidly since its launch, and we’re really excited to do more to support city centre economies. Working with CBA is really going to be game changing for businesses in the City of London. With learning being such a key part of candidate attraction and retention, we’re delighted to help these local businesses have a competitive edge”.
We will also be running mental wellness offerings through the Cheapside e-learning hub, which is something so many businesses have been asking us to offer during our research exercises.
The site is now live and you can sign up today to access over 200 free training courses, with new courses added every month!
