Plastic Free City Campaign

20 June 2019

20th March 2019 saw the installation of the water refill fountain in the yard by St Mary le Bow Church.

We were delighted to have the Lady Mayoress and the Master of the Water Conservators to speak and officially launch the fountain. We welcomed pupils from Hugh Myddleton Primary School, bringing with them their unique sculptures made of plastic.

Thank you also to Aberdeen Standard who hosted the lunch reception over looking the yard, and The City Centre for their fantastic catering.

The CBA sponsored the Water Refill Fountain, to support the City Corporations Plastic Free City Campaign. We encourage the Cheapside community to use the water fountain and refill their reusable bottles there rather than buying single use plastic bottles.

The CBA are a key delivery partner for Plastic Free City, you can find out more about the campaign, and how your business can sign the pledge here.
