The UK’s first ever National Clean Air Day will be on June 15th 2017. The aim of the Day is to help the public avoid and reduce air pollution, and to protect the health of families across the country. The day has the support of key health institutions and charities such as Public Health England, the Royal College of Physicians, British Lung Foundation, and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
You can play a valuable role in this national campaign to protect public health:
- Spread the word: On National Clean Air Day share the air pollution guidance with your employees, customers and community. [Insert reference to air quality widget on your website].
- Encourage change: Send out a call for employees to ‘redirect personal deliveries from the workplace’ and promote the use of parcel collection points closer to home to avoid unnecessary deliveries to busy central London streets. Convenient parcel collection points can be found at www.clickcollect.london. [If applicable – contact us for free promotional materials].
- Share best practice: Inspire other businesses to act by sharing how your business has successfully cut the air pollution it causes.
You will find approved health advice, ready-made communications materials, a pledge counter and even a virtual reality experience, all free to download at www.cleanairday.org.uk.
With as little as one tweet you can be a part of the movement creating cleaner air.
Please join us on June 15th and help adults and children to breathe easier.
